The date was December 5, 1985 when Shikhar Dhawan was born in Delhi, India. He was raised by his parents, Sunaina and Mahendra Pal Dhawan, alongside his sister Shreshta in his home country.
For his education, the cricketer attended St. Mark’s Senior Secondary School, but he spent much of his time at Sonnet Club, where he trained with coach Tarak Sinha, under the guidance of which more than 10 cricketers have become international stars.
After a very impactful youth career which saw him start with the Delhi Under-16s, he would develop steadily and become the first goalscorer in the 2004 Under-19 World Cup, which he attended, becoming the player of the tournament.
In the years to come, Shikhar Dhawan had the chance to play before joining the Mumbai Indians where he played from 2009 to 2010. From 2011 to 2012, he was accompanied by Deccan Chargers and then to Sunrisers Hyderabad, where he played . by the second half of 2018.
