| Quote | |
|---|---|
| 1 | [on the death of Peter O’Toole] So sad about the death of the incredible Peter O’Toole. He saw a play I did last year & sent me & all the cast presents after. A true gent! |
| 2 | Nobody would want to see me with no clothes on. I don’t think I would be brave enough. Only yesterday I had to do a scene in a TV show with not much on and I was so terrified so to have nothing on, on stage, well I don’t think I could do it. You’d need a lot of balls – pardon the pun! |
| 3 | Kathy Burke has been a real inspiration. I think she’s brilliant. I like the fact she doesn’t care what she looks like on TV and just gets really into character. Obviously, she can do drama as well, but it’s her comedy I love. Like when she plays Perry. |
| 4 | I get really nervous before recording and I start biting my nails. But once I’m out there, I love it. Seeing the enjoyment on people’s faces is brilliant. |
| Fact | |
|---|---|
| 1 | She was awarded the OBE (Officer of the Order of the British Empire) in the 2015 Queen’s New Year Honours List for her services to drama. |
| 2 | Playing the lead role of Elle Woods in the musical Legally Blonde, the London musical: at The Savoy Theatre, The Strand, London, England. [December 2009] |
| 3 | Stated that her personal favourite role of hers is as Charmian Biggs in Mrs Biggs (2012). |
| 4 | Was offered a part in Where the Heart Is (1997) but she turned it down to do Love Soup (2005). The role was played by Denise Van Outen. |
| 5 | Was a member of the National Youth Music Theatre between 1994 and 2000. |
| 6 | Has an older brother called Damien. |
