The time Kanj was shot, he was on Rhodes Avenue in Guildford in a black Kia hatchback. The paramedics tried to save his life, but he passed away at the crime scene. According to the witness, Kanj was holding his stomach at that time.
In fact, Kanj was hit by many shots and was in his car when he died. It is also believed that he was then driven to the nearby suburb of Guildford.
