Growing up in Richmond, Virginia, she attended Collegiate School. She began to learn ballet, jazz, and modern dance from an early age and went on to dance at Richmond Ballet for many years. Further, she completed her bachelors’ degree in Performance Studies and Literature from Harvard University in 2005.
