Sal Xheraj is a basketball player from Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey. He is a point guard who most recently played for the NCAA’s Fairleigh Dickinson Knights.
Sal Xheraj has never been told anything about his basketball career. He’s earned it all by carving out his role despite widespread skepticism.
He didn’t start a high school game at Hasbrouck Heights until Senior Night, and then only ceremoniously.
Sal said that he came off the bench for most of his senior year and averaged about 15 minutes per game while guarding the opposing team’s best player.
He broke his ankle as a sophomore and missed the entire season. He played JV and sat on the bench for varsity games his junior year. He didn’t leave the bench much during his senior season.
Who Is Sal Xheraj From FDU? Explore His Age
Sal Xheraj is grateful to be a member of the FDU men’s basketball team. The athlete has not revealed his exact age. Thus we estimate he might be in his 20s.
After serving as the team’s mascot his freshman year, the junior guard made the transition from the stands to the court on December 19, 2020, when the Knights faced Drexel, losing 85-68.
The 6-footer began his basketball career at Hasbrouck Heights (NJ) High School before transferring to Fairleigh Dickinson to pursue his interest in the business.
When Xheraj started college, he was given the opportunity to become the FDU’s mascot.
In a Zoom interview, he said, “you know, a small scholarship to me is very beneficial, and I mean, like, it saves you money, regardless, no matter the size or the quantity.”
His passion for basketball began at a young age, and he was inspired by some of the game’s greats.
“LeBron James was the first player I ever really watched, especially when he was with the Cleveland Cavaliers,” Xheraj said.
