In a Fairfax, Virginia courtroom, witness Ron Schnell, a social media forensic expert, has testified.
According to Amber Heard’s side, part of social media forensic specialist Ron Schnell’s participation, in this case, was concerning defamatory remarks allegedly made on the actor’s behalf by Johnny Depp’s attorney Adam Waldman.
Between April 2020 and January 2021, Mr. Schnell evaluated data from Twitter APIs (application programming intelligence). In April 2020, the independent experts will testify regarding an increase in “negative” tweets concerning Amber Heard.
In her countersuit against Johnny Depp, Heard claims that the actor used his former lawyer, Adam Waldman, to launch a social media slander campaign against her.
Who Is Ron Schnell Social Media Forensic Expert?
Between January 2018 and January 2021, Ron Schnell, a social media forensic specialist, studied 2.38 million nasty tweets against Amber Heard and Johnny Depp.
Amber Heard received the most of the hostile tweets in April 2020, when she accused Johnny Depp’s attorney, Adam Waldman, of posting information about her online that indicated she was lying about being a victim of domestic abuse.
#JusticeForJohnnyDepp, #AmberHeardIsAnAbuser, #AmberTurd, and #WeJustDontLikeYouAmber were among the hashtags criticizing Heard.
Anti-Depp tweets, which featured the hashtag #JohnnyDeppIsAWifeBeater, peaked in November 2020, when Depp lost his libel lawsuit against The Sun, which called him a “wife abuser,” according to Schnell.
Schnell, a social media forensic specialist, is the next witness in the defamation trial between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard.
He’ll give his professional judgment on the social media posts reportedly orchestrated by Depp’s attorney, Adam Waldman, to smear Heard’s name and career.
The evidence comes after Depp’s former talent agency, and business manager blamed him for losing his success owing to his drink and drug addiction and ‘unprofessional’ behavior.
Johnny Depp Vs. Amber Heard Trial Update
The present Johnny Depp Vs. Amber trial happening in the US state of Virginia, Depp is suing his ex-wife Amber Heard for libel over an article she wrote for the Washington Post in 2018.
During the six-week hearing, the court will hear from friends, family members, and employees who worked with and spent time with the former couple.
The ongoing trial of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard is likely to conclude after May 27th; thus, the verdict will be released then.
Given the volume of evidence that has been presented so far and will continue to be presented during the trial, it is unclear how long the jury will deliberate on Depp’s defamation charges.
Judge Azcarate has informed the seven jurors that jury deliberations would begin as soon as closing arguments are completed on May 27th.
Heard’s side will complete presenting their defense before Depp’s team gets the opportunity to respond.
Who Is Michelle Mulroney?
Michelle Mulroney, Amber Heard’s former lawyer, was investigated for emails she sent concerning a prospective prenuptial agreement between Heard and Johnny Depp.
She claims that the confidentiality agreement provided with the email was “typical” when either side wanted to reveal financial information.
Ms. Mulroney claims Depp phoned her on the phone one day during the prenuptial agreement negotiations. He was “insulting, called me names, and dismissed me,” she claims.
She claims he was “slurring,” and she assumed he was inebriated.
