Robert Kirkman Wiki Biography

Robert Kirkman was born on 30 November 1978, in Richmond, Kentucky USA. He is perhaps most widely recognized as the creator of “The Walking Dead”, both the comic series and some of the episodes of the famous horror TV series adaptation.

So how rich exactly is Robert Kirkman? Sources estimate his current net worth to be $20 million, most of his wealth being accumulated through his work as a comic book author, plus being one of the writers of the episodes of TV series “The Walking Dead” has also significantly raised his net worth.

Robert Kirkman Net Worth $20 Million

Robert Kirkman wrote his first successful comic book entitled “Battle Pope” in 2000 with the help of artist Tony Moore. It was a parody of the superhero genre mixed with Biblical symbolism and dark humor. Despite its controversial themes, the comic book ran successfully and in 2005 was reprinted by “Image Comics” in color and in 2008 “Battle Pope” became an animated series on “Spike” TV channel.

The second successful Kirkman’s project was a story about a superhero entitled “Invincible” which he created in 2003 with artist Cory Walker. In the same year he released another comic which raised Kirkman’s success and net worth to a whole new level. There were some problems when Kirkman tried to publish the first issues of “The Walking Dead” as zombies weren’t seen as something that audiences might enjoy. However, Robert managed to sell the first issue and the comic gained instant popularity. In 2010, “The Walking Dead” won the Eisner Award in the category of “Best Continuing series”. In the same year, the first episode of “The Walking Dead” apocalyptic horror TV series adaptation was released on AMC. Not surprisingly, Kirkman was chosen to work as one of the writers for the episodes of this show. In addition, as show gained increasing popularity, Kirkman has published three non-graphic novels of “The Walking Dead”, which were entitled “The Walking Dead: Rise of the Governor” (in 2011), “The Walking Dead: The Road to Woodbury” (in 2012) and “The Walking Dead: The Fall of the Governor” (in 2013). Currently, Kirkman is one of the co-authors to the spin-off horror TV show “Fear The Walking Dead” which should be released in the summer of 2015.

In 2004, Kirkman started working for one of the biggest comic book publishing companies Marvel Comics, which also boosted Kirkman’s already impressive net worth. Kirkman is known for working on such popular comic book titles as “Avengers Disassembled”, “Jubilee”, “Fantastic Four”, “Ultimate X-Men”, “Marvel Team-Up” and “Irredeemable Ant-Man”. However, in 2008, Kirkman ended his associations with Marvel Comics and became one of the partners of Image Comics. Currently, Kirkman is working on a science fiction feature film entitled “AIR”, which is scheduled to be released in 2015 and will be the first film produced by Robert Kirkman.

In his personal life, Robert Kirkman is married and has two children, one of whom is named Peter Parker, after the famous superhero Spider-Man.

Kirk Hammett’s net worth, biography, fact, career, awards and life story

Kirk Hammett net worth: Kirk Hammett is an American songwriter and guitar player who has a net worth of $200 million. Kirk Hammett is most famous for being the lead guitarist for the highly successful heavy metal band Metallica. Early Life: Kirk Hammett was born in San Francisco on November 18, 1962. He was raised in the town of El Sobrante, California. His mother is of Filipino descent and his father was part German, Irish, English and Scottish. He attended De Anza High School in Richmond, California right across the bay from San Francisco. His classmate at De Anza High was Les Claypool, future founding member of the band Primus. Kirk and Les were friends in school and remain close to this day. He was introduced to music by his older brother Rick’s music collection which included albums from Led Zeppelin, UFO and Jimi Hendrix among others. He first picked up a guitar at age 15. In 1979, at the age of 16, he joined formed a thrash metal band which he called Exodus. Kirk stayed in Exodus until 1983. Also during this time, Kirk began taking private solo lessons with fellow Bay Area musician (and future guitar God) Joe Satriani. Metallica: Metallica was formed in October of 1981 by lead singer James Hetfield and drummer Lars Ulrich. Exodus and Metallica had played many shows together in the fledgling Bay Area thrash metal scene. Metallica released its first album “Kill ‘Em All” in 1983. Unfortunately, the band’s original guitar, Dave Mustaine, was struggling with substances and on April 11, 1983 was fired from the group. On the same day Mustaine was fired, Kirk received a phone call from James and Lars inviting him to fly to New York (where the band was recording) to audition. Despite having never left California, Kirk scraped together money for a plane ticket. The first song played during the audition, “Seek and Destroy”, features an onerous guitar solo. Hetfield would later say that Kirk nailed the solo  in the first take and from that point they knew he was their guy. Over the next three decades, Metallica would go on to become one of the most-successful rock groups in music history. Certainly the most successful heavy metal group. As of this writing, the band has sold more than 125 million albums worldwide. They are still one of the highest-earning bands in the world when they tour. In a given touring year, Metallica is known to gross $70-100 million between ticket sales, merchandise and royalties. Kirk has written a number of what are now considered classic guitar riffs for the group, including one for “Enter Sandman” which would become the group’s biggest mainstream hit. As a member of Metallica he has been featured on the albums Kill ‘Em All in 1983, Ride the Lightning in 1984, Master of Puppets in 1986, and …And Justice for All in 1988. The band’s albums Metallica in 1991, Load in 1996, Reload in 1997, St. Anger in 2003, Death Magnetic in 2008, and Hardwired… to Self-Destruct in 2016 all reached #1 in the US and several other countries. Metallica’s most popular singles include “One”, “Enter Sandman”, “The Unforgiven”, “Nothing Else Matters”, “Wherever I May Roam, “Sad but True”, “Until It Sleeps”, “Hero of the Day”, “The Memory Remains”, “The Unforgiven II”, “Fuel”, “Turn the Page”, “Whiskey in the Jar”, “No Leaf Clover”, “I Disappear”, “St. Anger”, “The Day That Never Comes”, “Cyanide”, “Hardwired”, and more. Brush with Death/Destiny: In 1986 while touring in Europe to support the album “Master of Puppets”, Kirk and bassist Cliff Burton got into a fight over sleeping arrangements in the tour bus. The settled the dispute with a card draw where whoever had the highest draw would get the superior bunk at the back of the bus. Burton wont the contest by drawing the Ace of Spades. Tragically, in the early hours of the morning the next day while driving through Sweden, the bus slid off the road and overturned. Burton was thrown from the bus through his bunk window and then the bus fell on top of his body, killing him instantly. Other Interests: Kirk is a lifelong fan of the horror genre. In 2012 he released a photo collection book showing off his passion for monster movies and horror memorabilia. His horror collection includes Bela Lugosi film costumes, many original horror movie posters, props and much more. In 2014 he launched what has become an annual horror convention called Kirk Von Hammett’s Fear FestEvil. Personal Life: Kirk has been married twice. He has been married to his current wife Lani since 1998. They have two sons together. Real Estate: Kirk owns (and has owned) a number of impressive homes primarily in the San Francisco area. In 1993 he spent $2.56 million on a large mansion in San Francisco’s wealthy Pacific Heights neighborhood. Designed in 1899, the 10,000 square-foot home has eight bedrooms, seven bathrooms, billiards room, music studio and a 2,000-bottle wine cellar. Kirk attempted to sell the house in 2006 for $12.5 million but did not find a buyer. It finally sold in December 2009 for $7.6 million. In 2005 he spent $5.7 million on a home in an ultra-luxurious area of San Francisco called Sea Cliff for $5.7 million. In 2010 he bought the home next door for $8 million, hoping to build a mini-compound. Those plans never materialized so he eventually put both homes on the market. He sold his original home in March 2018 for $12.8 million. He sold the second home in February 2019 for $11.7 million. That’s a $10.8 million combined profit. Kirk also owns a ranch somewhere north of San Francisco which viewers see during the documentary “Metallica: Some Kind of Monster”. He owns the ranch through a trust and it’s exact location is hard to pinpoint. Other Metallica net worths:Lars Ulrich Net WorthJames Hetfield Net WorthJason Newsted Net WorthRobert Trujillo Net Worth

Liza Minnelli’s net worth, biography, fact, career, awards and life story

Liza Minnelli Net Worth: Liza Minnelli is an American actress, singer, and dancer who has a net worth of $50 million. She is probably best known for her role in 1972’s “Cabaret,” for which she won an Academy Award. Outside of film, Minnelli is an accomplished stage actor who has appeared in numerous high-profile musical productions. Although she began her career in theatre, she is now known for a wide range of film and television roles. Outside of acting, Liza is a successful singer who has released several successful albums. Early Life: Liza May Minnelli was born on March 12th of 1946 in Los Angeles, California. Born into a family of entertainers, Liza’s mother is the late Judy Garland. Her father is the late stage and film director Vicente Minnelli. Liza was raised alongside a number of half-siblings and began her film career at the age of three, taking a role in “In the Good Old Summertime.” The movie also starred her mother. In 1961, Minnelli moved to New York City to attend high school. Career: Liza’s first professional acting role came at the age of 17 when she took a role in the off-Broadway musical “Best Foot Forward.” The next year, she performed alongside her mother at the London Palladium. By the age of 19, she had booked a leading role in the Broadway musical “Flora the Red Menace.” She won a Tony Award as a result of this performance. While her acting career was blossoming, Minnelli also nurtured her singing career. While still 19, Liza began to sing at nightclubs all over the country. During the 60s, she recorded a number of albums and continued to release more albums throughout the 70s. In 1989, she teamed up with the Pet Shop Boys to record the album “Results.” The album charted well. During this period, she was nominated for several Grammys. She continues to release successful albums well into the modern era, and in 2010 she released the album “Confessions.” Minnelli also got started as a film actress during the 60s, and her first credited role was in “Charlie Bubbles” in 1967. Two years later, she booked a role in the film “The Sterile Cuckoo,” playing a nerdy teenager. The performance gained her an Academy Award nomination, and in 1970 she played another interesting character in “Tell Me That You Love Me, Junie Moon.” Although she was gaining quite a reputation with these film roles, her true film breakthrough came in 1972 with “Cabaret.” She played Sally Bowles, the most iconic role of her career. As a result of her performance, she won the Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role. Numerous other awards soon followed. Although she was at the top of her game after “Cabaret,” her next three films proved to be serious flops at the box office. These were “Lucky Lady,” “New York, New York,” and “A Matter of Time.” That being said, “New York, New York” featured what would become Liza’s signature song. Despite these disappointments, she managed to bounce back with the film “Arthur” in 1981. After these movies Minnelli appeared in fewer film roles. Her sole release of the 90s was “Stepping Out,” and after the year 2000 she appeared in just one film: “The Oh in Ohio.” Outside of film, Minnelli booked a number of notable TV roles. She appeared on a range of variety shows during the 60s, and in 1964 she appeared in her first dramatic role in the series “Mr. Broadway.” During the next few years, Liza focused on her film career, but in the 2000s she returned to television with roles in “Arrested Development,” “Law & Order: Criminal Intent,” and “Drop Dead Diva.” Outside of film and television, Liza has continued to appear in high-profile theatrical productions throughout her career, many of which were on Broadway. Relationships: Minelli has been married four times; all of which ended in divorce. In 1967, she married Peter Allen, a well-known Australian entertainer. The marriage ended in divorce by 1974 when Liza found out that Allen was homosexual. Following her split from Allen, Liza married Jack Haley Jr., the son of actor Jack Haley with whom Minnelli had starred in “The Wizard of Oz.” The marriage ended in divorce by 1979. Minnelli then married Mark Gero, a sculptor. This relationship lasted until 1992, when they divorced. In 2002, Minnelli married David Gest, a concert promoter. This relationship would last only one year. Later, Gest claimed that he had suffered domestic abuse after Minnelli had become drunk and angry. Liza has also dated a number of celebrities, including Peter Sellers and Martin Scorsese. Substance Abuse: Liza Minnelli is well known for her substance abuse struggles throughout the years. There are numerous reasons for these issues, especially when it comes to her drug use. Liza was taking considerable amounts of recreational drugs during the 70s, as she was hanging out with figures like Andy Warhol and Bianca Jagger. These celebs would often engage in drug use and go to nightclubs in New York City, where Minnelli would also perform. She also became addicted to Valium after her mother passed away, and this sparked a long struggle with prescription drug abuse. In addition, Minnelli is known for her struggle with alcoholism in the past. In 1984, she entered the Betty Ford Clinic, a treatment center specializing in substance abuse. Real Estate: In 2015, Minnelli sold a condo in New York City for just over $8.372 million. The apartment was situated in the luxurious and affluent Imperial House complex on East 69th street in Manhattan. She had purchased the property decades earlier, and in 1981 the apartment was highlighted in an edition of “Architectural Digest” magazine. The photos showed that Liza had employed interior designer Timothy Macdonald to decorate the apartment. The magazine spread also showed Minnelli’s expensive collection of Andy Warhol artwork. Her Manhattan residence was not seen again for many years, although it is assumed that it still featured a white marble entrance gallery at the time of its sale.
