Ripley Lawless is the gamer who had been trending online for her comparison of Teabagging another player and sexual assault. She is a member of the Galorants Discord, a group created to support female and non-binary Valorant players.
And that is where she gave her opinion. Of course, other players and community members quickly responded to her statement. But, among them, two players ended up having a heated debate over the issue.
Vivian Risorah Dela Cruz and Dawn Park have been banned for three months and nine months, respectively. The news came after they were accused of harassing another player and making vulgar remarks that targeted and isolated them.
Dawn was banned for posting “vulgar and targeted” comments on another user’s social media account, whereas Risorah was accused of harassment and making vulgar comments that isolated the player.
While the news sources have not released the victim’s name, everyone knows it was Ripley Lawless. The name may be an alias, but she uses the same name on social media.
Ripley Lawless Teabagging And Sexual Assault Controversy
Ripley Lawless compared Teabagging to sexual assault in one of her posts on Galorants Discord. Teabagging has existed for decades now. It is a sexual act done in a video game, but people say it is worse to compare it to sexual assault in real life.
Dawn also said that she had a friend who had been the victim of the assault. In addition, she claimed she had seen SA happening at board daylight, which is not something one can compare to crouching in a video game. Thus, she was upset about it, and many other people also vented their frustrations and anger in the comments.
Likewise, Risorah said that she would be taking responsibility for her actions, and her future in Valorant or competitive is unknown as of now.

Will Ripley Lawless Be Banned?
Ripley Lawless may not be banned. But, some people expressed that she should be prohibited.
Nonetheless, her opinion on the discord resulted in a heated debate with the other two players. The issue gets bigger as the other two members are accused of harassing her and using vulgar and targeted comments at her.
As a result, they have been temporarily banned for breaching community guidelines. In addition, following the controversy, she has deactivated her social media account.
