Rhodorie Estrada was a 41-year old registered nurse living in East York, Canada. The mother of three worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
The nurse was found mercilessly assaulted and murdered in her own apartment. The body was discovered by her husband, Gerald Aquintey, when he came back home in the middle of the night on May 26, 2018.
The news on the murder and the cause of death has resurfaced as the two prime suspects in the case pleaded not guilty in 2021.
Rhodorie Estrada Cause of Death
Rhodorie Estrada was brutally assaulted and murder in her own apartment. Two young men in their 20s have been suspected and arrested for first-degree murder.
On May 26, 2018, Estrada’s husband went out for the grand opening of a friend’s restaurant in North York. Estrada was in the apartment with her two daughters and had locked and latched the front door.
It is believed that the men entered the apartment from the side door and sexually assaulted the nurse. The footprints in the dust on the floor further strengthened this assumption.
The dead body was discovered by her husband when he came back home later that night and noticed the unlocked side door.
Rhodorie Estrada Sexual Assault
Rhodorie Estrada was sexually assaulted by two men at about midnight on May 26, 2018. She was then murdered.
Severe facial injuries could be seen on the victim as she was badly beaten. Her husband later talked to global news to explain that he could not even perform CPR on his wife because her facial injuries were so severe.
The two men suspected of sexual assault and murder are 22-year old Yostin Murillo and 23-year old David Beak. The pair have been charged with sexual assault and first-degree murder of Estrada.
