Sadly, Courtney’s husband Bean died on August 18, 2011. He died in a helicopter crash with his colleague TV journalist Paul Lockyer and the pilot. In fact, they were shooting at Lake Eyre in South Australia.

Pip and her husband John did not have any children. John died at the age of 48. He had forked as a cinematographer for ABC for a couple of decades. John was from Rockhampton, Queensland.
