Phil Andrew is a retired FBI special agent who has served more than 21 years in the field. He is currently notable for working in the PAX Group LLC as its principal.
He is mainly known for working as an FBI agent in New York, Midwest, and even overseas, in different expertise areas like national security, undercover work, counterterrorism, and whatnot.
More than that, Andrew is notable for being the survivor of the 1988 incident, where a shooter opened fire at Hubbard Woods Elementary School in Winnetka. At the time, an attacker, Laurie Dann, broke into his house and shot him.
Phil Andrew Claims Uvalde Shooting Could Have Been Prevented
Retired FBI Phil Andrew recently commented on an elementary school mass shooting in Texas. He stated on CBS 2, “What we’ve learned is that these are many times highly predictable, highly preventable situations.”
He claimed that the shooting tragedy; could have been prevented, and what’s more, the officers were already in pursuit of the 18-years-old shooter after he killed his grandmom.
He added, “This individual gave indications to someone in the community…”
“That’s where we’re going to get some insight into this person’s intent, and whether they even specifically targeted this school; or it became a target of opportunity after they were evading law enforcement.”
