Peter Wolf Net Worth $8 Million

From anearly age, Peter showed interest in the arts, and wanted to become an artist, but in the early ‘60s his life changed. He got a job as a disc jockey on Boston FM radio station WBCN, and then soon he started exploring with blues and rhythm ‘n’ blues sounds, and named himself Woofa Goofa. In the next several years, he was building a name for himself as a solo artist, and at one time lived with director David Lynch, however, Lynch kicked him out from the apartment as Peter wasn’t paying rent.

After a few years as a solo artist, he joined with Doug Slade, Joe Clark, Stephen Jo Bladd, and Paul Shapiro to start the group Hallucinations. They performed with such acts as Velvet Underground, Van Morrison, John Lee Hooker and Muddy Waters, however, he attended a J. Geils Blues Band concert, and soon afterwards became a part of the band in 1967. He served as band’s vocalist and front man until 1983, and worked on every album except for the last one “You’re Gettin’ Even While I’m Getting Odd”, released in 1984. Some of the albums on which Peter showed his talents include “Bloodshot” (1973), which achieved gold status in the USA, then “Nightmares…and Other Tales from the Vinyl Jungle” (1974), “Sanctuary” (1978), which achieved gold status, “Love Stinks” (1980), which became their first platinum album, and “Freeze-Frame” (1981), which achieved triple platinum status in Canada, and platinum in USA, while it also topped the US Billboard 200 chart. The constant success of the band significantly increased Peter’s net worth. The group soon disbanded after his departure, but they have reunited several times for touring since 1999, with Peter in the line-up.

After he left the group, he started his solo career, with the help of the lyricist Will Jennings; he has released eight albums so far to commercial and critical success. Some of the albums include “Lights Out” (1984), “Come As You Are” (1987), “Sleepless” (2002), “Midnight Souvenirs” (2010), and “A Cure for Loneliness” (2016), so continuing to build his net worth.

Regarding his personal life, Peter was married to famous actress Faye Dunaway from 1974 until 1979, since when he has apparently been officially single – there is no information or even rumours of a relationship..

Fact
1 His grandmother was an actress in Yiddish theater. His father performed on the vaudeville circuit.
2 He left the J. Geils Band in 1983 after his bandmates refused to record songs he had composed with outside writers (previously he had co-written only with keyboardist/producer Seth Justman). Those songs later formed the basis for his Top 10 debut solo album, “Lights Out”. Meanwhile, the album J.Geils released without him flopped. They disbanded shortly afterwards.
3 Roomed with David Lynch in college, but Lynch kicked him out, saying he was “too weird”. Ironic, isn’t it?
4 Lead singer of former J. Geils Band.

Betsey Johnson’s net worth, biography, fact, career, awards and life story

Betsey Johnson Net Worth: Betsey Johnson is an American fashion designer best known for her feminine and whimsical designs who has a net worth of $50 million dollars. Betsey Johnson was born on August 10, 1942 in Wethersfield, Connecticut. Following her graduation from high school, Johnson studied at the Pratt Institute and then later graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Syracuse University where she was a member of the Alpha Xi Delta women’s sorority. After graduation, she spent a summer as an intern at Mademoiselle Magazine. Johnson’s fashion career started after she entered and won the Mademoiselle Guest Editor Contest. Within a year, she was the in-house designer for Manhattan boutique Paraphernalia. Johnson became part of both the youthquake fashion movement and Andy Warhol’s underground scene, along with The Velvet Underground, Edie Sedgwick, and Lou Reed. In 1969, she opened a boutique called Betsey Bunky Nini on New York’s Upper East Side. Edie Sedgwick was her house model and Johnson designed the clothing Sedgwick wore on her last film, “Ciao! Manhattan”. In the 1970s, Johnson took control of the fashion label “Alley Cat” which was popular with the rock ‘n roll musicians of the day. In her first year, her debut collection for Alley Cat reportedly sold $5 million in volume. In 1972 she won the Coty Award. In 1978, Johnson started her own fashion line. Her second collection did not sell well, leaving her with 3,000 pieces of spring clothing and insufficient funds to stage a 1981 fashion show to sell them and Johnson opened a retail store in the SoHo area of New York City. She designed the dress that Lisa Loeb wore in the music video for her 1994 hit Stay (I Missed You). In 2002, Johnson was inducted into the Fashion Walk of Fame, and in 2014 she appeared on the hit ABC television show, “Dancing With the Stars.” After struggling financially for several years and nearly going bankrupt, Betsey Johnson (the company) was acquired by Steve Madden (the company) in 2010 for $27.5 million.
