Pejhmaun Iraj Khosroabadi, a former marine officer, shot a police officer on Monday, 12 June, during a traffic stop in the Campbell Hall Episcopal School parking lot.
According to the spokesperson of the LA police department, the 33-year-old former marine officer is arrested for the attempted murder of an on-duty police officer.
As per several media reports, the officer was shot in the face a couple of times. Khosroabadi also got injured during the process, but, somehow, he managed to escape away from the scene.
The 27-year-old police officer, whose identity is not revealed, is in a critical condition, and his treatment is under process. He joined the LA police service just a year ago.
