Michael’s family moved to Olean, New York while he was still young. After watching a performance by drag queen Darienne Lake, he was inspired to pursue drag, and subsequently appeared in his first show at the gay bar Infinity, which is where he started using the name “Pandora Boxx”, a play on the mythological artifact of the same name. He then appeared during the second season of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” in which he did various impersonations before being eliminated during the eighth episode, but during his run still found a lot of popularity due to his impersonation of actress Carol Channing. He was then named America’s Next Drag Superstar by Entertainment Weekly, and that plus the competition would open up more opportunities for him to increase his net worth. He appeared in the spin-off TV series entitled “RuPaul’s Drag U” before appearing in a commercial for Absolut Vodka, both boosting his net worth.

In 2011, Boxx then appeared in an episode of “One Night Stand Up” before being featured in a photo spread by “Entertainment Weekly”. Later in the year, he would release his first single entitled “Cooter!”, and followed it up by releasing various singles the following year, including “Give Me All Your Muff” which is a parody of “Give Me All Your Luvin” by Madonna. He also did his own version of the song “I Wanna Have Some Fun” originally by Samantha Fox. He also released an original song entitled “Nice Car (Shame About Your Penis!)”, and continued to release singles in 2013. Meantime he was then a replacement for Sharon Needles in “RuPaul’s Drag Race: All Stars”, in which he formed a team with Mimi Imfurst, but they were the first to be eliminated.

He and Pandora increased their net worth even further by appearing in “Mrs. Kasha Davis: The Life of an International Housewife Celebrity”, which Pandora also produced and directed. He also wrote the play entitled “The Lipstick Massacre” in which he starred alongside Kasha Davis. For most of his creative roles, he is credited by his birth name, Michael Steck.

For his personal life, Steck announced through Twitter that he had become engaged in 2010, but no further details. During his free time, he enjoys playing video games and also enjoys sci-fi films.
