Henry Winkler is probably most famous for playing The Fonz on the sitcom “Happy Days”. He has also made numerous appearances in films and television over the years. Early Life and Career Beginnings: Henry Franklin Winkler was born on October 30, 1945, in Manhattan, New York City. His mother, Ilse Anna Marie (née Hadra), was a homemaker, and his father, Harry Irving Winkler, was a lumber import-exporter. His cousin, Richard Belzer, is also an actor, and he has a sister named Beatrice. Winkler’s parents were German Jews from Berlin. They emigrated to the U.S. in 1939, just before the outbreak of World War II. He struggled through school due to dyslexia (which was undiagnosed at the time), and ultimately graduated from McBurney School on Manhattan’s Upper West Side in 1963, but only after completing summer school. He continued his education at Emerson College, graduating with a BA in 1967, and he went on to earn an MFA from the Yale School of Drama in 1970. According to Winkler, his first paid television job was as a game show extra in New York, for which he was paid $10. He then supported himself in New York City by working in television commercials, while performing theater for free at the Manhattan Theater Club. During the period of 1968 to 1972, he also appeared in numerous Yale Repertory Theater productions. Some of these include “Coriolanus” (May 1968), “Macbeth” (February 1971), “Gimpel the Fool” (October 1970), “Two by Brecht and Weill: The Little Mahagonny and the Seven Sins” (May-June 1971, January 1972), among others. Acting Career: In 1973, Winkler landed the role of Butchey Weinstein in the drama film “The Lords of Flatbush”. The film also starred Perry King and Sylvester Stallone. However, the film was not released until 1974. During 1973 he appeared on shows like “The Mary Tyler Moor Show”, “The Bob Newhart Show”, and “Rhoda”. Also in 1973, the producer Tom Miller helped Winkler land the role of Arthur Herbert Fonzarelli, also known as “The Fonz” or “Fonzie”, on the sitcom show “Happy Days”. “Happy Days” first started airing in January 1974, and helped Winkler achieve wider recognition and fame. He remained with the show as The Fonz until it ended in 1984. While he starred on television as The Fonz, he also appeared in films like “Heroes” (1977), “The One and Only” (1978), and “An American Christmas Carol” (1979). After taking a break from acting in the 1980s, beginning in the 1990s Winkler slowly started returning to acting. In 1991, he starred in the highly controversial made-for-tv film “Absolute Strangers”, and then in 1994 he co-starred with Katharine Hepburn in the tv movie “One Christmas”. Also in 1994, he returned to television in the Fox comedy series “Monty”. However, “Monty” did not air for long and was pretty short-lived; it was canceled after just six episodes. Then Adam Sandler invited him to appear in his film “The Waterboy” (1998), starting off what would prove to be a good friendship and productive professional relationship. Winkler went on to appear in three other Sandler films: “Little Nicky” (2000), “Click” (2006), and “You Don’t Mess with the Zohan” (2008). Since then, Winkler has appeared in many other works, such as the television shows “Numb3rs”, “The Bob Newhart Show”, “South Park”, “The Practice”, “The Drew Carey Show”, “The Simpsons”, “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit”, “Third Watch”, “Arrested Development”, “Family Guy”, and “King of the Hill”, “Royal Pains”, “Childrens Hospital”, “Parks and Recreation”, and “Barry”, among others. Producing and Directing: In addition to his acting pursuits, Winkler has also found success as a producer. He narrated and was the executive producer of the documentary film “Who Are the DeBolts? And Where Did They Get Nineteen Kids?” (1977). The film went on to win the Academy Award for Best Feature-length Documentary in 1978, the Directors Guild of America Award, and the Humanitas Award for director John Korty. Additionally, an edited 50-minute version of the film that was shown on television on ABC in December 1978 went on to win an Emmy Award for Outstanding Individual Achievement – Informational Program in 1979. After “Happy Days” ended in 1984, Winkler doubled down on his producing and directing ventures, and began to focus on them over acting. He teamed up with John Rich to establish Winkler-Rich Productions. Whenever Rich was not involved in a project, Winkler would be involved under the company Fair Dinkum Productions. During this period, he produced television shows like “MacGyver”, “So Weird”, “Mr. Sunshine”, “Sightings”; game shows like “Wintuition” and “Hollywood Squares”; and the made-for-tv film “Scandal Sheet” (1985). Additionally, he directed films like “Memories of Me” (1988) and “Cop and a Half” (1993). In 1999, Winkler signed on as executive producer for the Disney Channel original series “We Weird”. He has since worked on a number of other projects. For example, he was the executive producer of the NBC series “Better Late Than Never” from 2016 to 2018, a travel-reality show that featured Winkler himself, alongside William Shatner, George Foreman, and Terry Bradshaw. Other Work: Winkler is a published author. He has collaborated with Lin Oliver on a series of children’s books featuring a dyslexic boy named Hank Zipzer. They have published 17 books featuring Zipzer. Personal Life: Winkler married his wife Stacey Weitzman (née Furstman) in May 1978. Together, they have two children: Zoe Emily (born 1980) and Max Daniel (born 1983). Stacey was previously married to entertainment super-lawyer, Howard Weitzman. Winkler is stepfather to her son, Jed Weitzman, from her previous relationship. Real Estate: In November 1993 Henry and Stacey purchased a home in LA’s Brentwood neighborhood for $3.4 million. That’s the same as spending around $6 million in today’s dollars. Today the home is worth $11-15 million. Around the same time of the purchase, the Winklers sold their longtime Toluca Lake home to actor Andy Garcia for $2.26 million. They bought the home in 1978, the same year they married.

Eric Trump’s net worth, biography, fact, career, awards and life story

Eric Trump Net Worth and Salary: Eric Trump is an American businessman and philanthropist who has a net worth of $300 million. Eric is probably best known for being the second son of Donald Trump. Eric often appeared with his father on the reality show “The Apprentice.” Following his father’s involvement in politics and his victory in the 2016 US Presidential election, Eric became a vocal and public supporter for the Trump presidency. He is also a successful businessman and plays a key role in the Trump Organization. Early Life: Eric Frederick Trump was born on January 6th of 1984 in New York City. Eric is Donald’s third child with his ex-wife Ivana Trump. His father and Ivana divorced when he was eight years old, and he became very close with his siblings as they supported each other through this emotional period. He also became close with his maternal grandparents following his mother’s split with Donald, and he spent his summers in Czech throughout his childhood. During his time in Czech, Eric’s grandfather taught him important life skills, such as hunting and fishing. Like his father, Eric attended the Hill School, a coed preparatory boarding school located in Pennsylvania. He allegedly arrived at the school with just one bag and a lamp. His classmates have described him as “good-spirited,” and he displayed a talent for woodworking during his school years. Over the summers, he helped with the family business and worked on various construction sites with his brother as a laborer. During this period, he also watched his father conduct negotiations and other important business. By the end of high school, Eric Trump knew he wanted to enter the family organization. Although his elder siblings went to the University of Pennsylvania, Eric decided to go to Georgetown University instead. During his time at Georgetown, he earned a degree in finance and management. The Trump Organization: Eric Trump became a vital part of the Trump Organization as early as 2006. He advocated the large-scale purchase of various properties following the 2008 market crash, and he took advantage of incredibly low housing prices during this period. With Eric’s insistence, the Trump Organization bought up as much property as it could. Today, Eric acts as the executive vice president of developments and acquisitions of the Trump Organization. He has been involved with various projects, including the renovation and redesign of the Trump National Doral in Miami. The Covid-19 pandemic caused a significant decline in the Trump Organization. In 2020, it was announced that the National Doral had been forced to furlough over 500 employees as a result of quarantine protocols. Some estimated that the Trump Organization was losing as much as $1 million per day as a result of the virus. With Eric Trump behind the steering wheel, the Trump Organization aimed to focus on luxury hotel properties in the future, as well as stable income provided by office space. In addition, there were reportedly plans to sell off stakes in office towers located in New York and San Francisco. Numerous sources stated that these actions helped the Trump Organization “weather the storm” of the coronavirus. Television: Outside of his duties within the Trump Organization, Eric Trump appeared frequently on the show “The Apprentice.” Eric served as a boardroom judge for his father’s reality show for five years, appearing in 23 episodes from 2010 to 2015. Salary: According to financial disclosures released by Ivanka Trump, the three siblings have earned around $35 million each in salary over the last two decades. Donald, Ivanka, and Eric technically do not have ownership stakes yet in the vast majority of their father’s businesses. They do, however, each own 7.5% of Trump International Hotel in Washington D.C. Philanthropy: Outside of the business world, Eric is a highly active philanthropist. He is the founder of the Eric Trump Foundation, an organization that successfully raised tens of millions of dollars for Saint Jude Children’s Hospital. Eric Trump also serves as a board member for the hospital, which features a wing named after him. To date, the Eric Trump Foundation has raised more than $25 million for the hospital which helps children who are suffering from life-threatening illnesses. There is some controversy regarding Eric’s handling of charitable organizations, however. Some state that Eric is “re-donating” money to Trump family members, and that some of the funds were being redirected to various projects, such as golf courses. As a result of these allegations, the New York State Attorney General’s Office launched an official inquiry into the Eric Trump Foundation. Personal Real Estate: Eric’s primary residence is a four-unit apartment above Central Park in a building called Trump Parc East. He also owns a duplex on the grounds of Trump National Golf Club in Westchester County, NY. In 2018, it was reported that Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr. had purchased a property in the iconic Mar-a-Lago resort for $18.5 million. The two brothers purchased the property through a Limited Liability Company, with Eric Trump serving as president. Trump Jr. serves as vice president of the LLC. The property was originally owned by their aunt, Maryanne Trump Barry. The extensive property was built in 1956, and it features over 194 feet of ocean frontage. Maryanne Trump Barry purchased the mansion in 2004 for $11.5 million, and she owned it through a trust before selling it to her nephews. The property includes a pool, a sunroom, and an expansive library. It is also directly opposite another property owned by their father, Donald Trump. Family Life: In 2008, Eric Trump met Lara Yunasaka at a bar. Yunasaka is a producer for “Inside Edition.” After dating for many years, the two were wed in 2014 at Mar-a-Lago. As of this writing they have two children. Eric and his wife has been called the “most normal” members of the Trump family.
