A lookalike of Brian Laundrie, Gabby Petito’s fiance, has created a TikTok account “Not Brian Laundrie” to prove he’s not the fugitive police have been looking for.
A man who bears a startling resemblance with Gabby Petito’s fugitive fiance, Brian Laundrie, has gone viral overnight after he posted a series of videos on TikTok to prove he is “Not Brian Laundrie.”
The man created a TikTok account after news spread around that Laundrie has been found. He asked for help from users to confirm he is not the man the FBI is looking for.
So, who is @notbrianlaundrie? Let’s find out!
Who Is Not Brian Laundrie On TikTok?
“Not Brian Laundrie” is the doppelganger of Brian Laundrie, who has become a national fugitive in relation to the murder of Gabby Petito.
The man first appeared on TikTok after a user shared a video, claiming Laundrie is found.
@notbrianlaundrie then took to the video-sharing platform to duet the video explaining it was him in the video, and not Brian Laundrie.
In a follow-up video, he went on to ask advice from the users to help him express he is not the man people think he is, and also expressed concern for an upcoming flight he’d to take to attend a wedding.
The videos have already gained millions of views on TikTok.
He also shared a video where he is in a hat and glasses in the airport and wrote he’s on his invisible man disguise.
Burner Phone Videos Allegations Against The Doppelganger @notbrianlaundrie
According to the Independent, Brian Laundrie bought a burner phone on the day he went missing from his parents’ home.
Laundrie is a prime person of interest in the murder of Gabby Petito, who was found dead after she went missing on a trip with Laundrie, her fiance.
Laundrie had returned home in his van around a month ago. Petito was not with him even though they’d left together.
Now, reports suggest he purchased the burner phone in the presence of a woman at a store in North Port Florida on September 14.
FBI obtained the CCTV footage of the store and believes it’s the same phone Laundrie left at his home.
Some people also connected the phone with Brian’s lookalike @notbrianlaundrie. However, it appears the news is false.
Not Brian Laundrie Real Name & Identity
Not Brian Laundrie has not disclosed his real name and only identifies as @notbrianlaundrie.
He has similar hair, beard, and facial structure as Brian Laundrie, the root of all the confusion.
He has made it clear he is not the man via his TikTok videos, which have now gained over 51.5k followers. But he is careful to not reveal any personal information in his videos.
Under current circumstances, it’s only natural he does not want to draw any attention to his personal life when he is being mistaken for an alleged murderer.
