Who is new on SNL?

With each new season of Saturday Night Lives, there are generally a few comedians who make their exits and entrances.

Beck Bennett and Lauren Holt are the only members of the late-night monster who will not be returning for the 47th season.

Sarah Sherman, Aristotle Athari, and James Austin Johnson have been added to SNL’s cast in their place.

Each of these three comedians is a force to be reckoned with, and it’ll be fascinating to see how they’re used, starting with the Owen Wilson-hosted premiere with musical guest Kacey Musgraves.

In the meantime, here’s why you should be happy about these arrivals and what they’ll bring to the table.
