Richard Ratcliffe is constantly in the news since his wife got held by the Iranian government. Even though he is known to be the husband of Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe, the woman was falsely accused of renegade, he has the identity of a strong man.
As per his Linkedin profile, he is the audit Principal at the UK National audit office. However, it has not stated his education qualification and other professional experiences.

Richard Ratcliffe Daughter Gabriella Ratcliffe
Richard Ratcliffe’s daughter Gabriella Ratcliffe was with her mother to visit her maternal family members in Iran in 2016. Little did that little soul know that she’d be taken away from her parents for a quarter of her childhood.
Gabriella and Nazanin were stopped at the airport and her passport was confiscated which was returned later. She was then handed over to her grandparents so that she could meet her mother when required.
She is now 6 years old and it is such an emotional moment for her father to see his blood after so long. He had even sang a birthday song for her in 2017 publicly which was quite talked about then.
Richard Ratcliffe Hunger Strike Update
Richard Ratcliffe sits in front of the Iranian embassy on a hunger strike on June 14, 2019. This move had to be taken after several attempts to get reunited with his wife and daughter. It was found out that his wife was doing the same in Iran.
Again on October 24, 2021, he went on another hunger strike. It was his second one in 2 years and this time he was sitting outside the Foreign Office in Whitehall. To this, the office said that they were doing everything that was in their hand.
After several ups and downs, Richard’s efforts have paid off and Nazanin with her daughter Gabriella is back to the UK. The small family, at last, got back together.
