He was born and raised in Wisconsin. He went to Maranatha Baptist University in Wisconsin.
Later he graduated and had a degree in Math Education. He started his career as an assistant coach at the University of Wisconsin.
He also has enough experience as assistant coach in Romulus high school where he completed all together 11 seasons.
With unstoppable hard work and experience, he was announced head coach in 2015 for State of New York at Buffalo.

Nate has been very supportive of his wife. Crystal had in total of six chemotherapy and had a bone marrow transplant. She is now fit and living happily with husband and three adorable daughters.
