MP Dai Le is married to her husband Markus Lambert and her family is in the limelight as she won the election recently. She got a stunning victory as an independent over Kristina Keneally.
Dai Trang Le is an Australian politician who is now the deputy mayor of Fairfield, New South Wales.
Likewise, she served Cabravale Ward from 2012 to 2021, when ward boundaries changed, forcing her to run in the newly constituted Fairfield/Cabravale Ward in the 2021 NSW local government election.
Le came to Australia in 1979 as a Vietnam War refugee after escaping Saigon in April 1975 and spent four years in refugee camps in Hong Kong and the Philippines with her family.
As per Wikipedia, she worked as an ABC journalist and politician before being named one of Australia’s 100 most important women in 2014.
Dai Le’s Husband Is Markus Lambert And Their Son Ethan Lambart
Dai Le is happily married to Markus Lambert, with whom she has one child in the family. She is usually seen with her son, Ethan Lambart, on her social media, whom she appears to adore.
Her husband Markus, on the other hand, appears only rarely on her Instagram, and she has kept specifics about her husband’s job private.
Furthermore, she was appointed to the Advisory Board of Multicultural NSW (previously the NSW Community Relations Commission) in August 2012, where she advises Government Ministers and Agencies.
Additionally, her mother was seized by Australian Border Force authorities upon her return to Australia from Vietnam in mid-2013 for allegedly transporting narcotics to satisfy gambling debts, and she served three months in Silverwater Correctional Complex.
The prosecution was eventually abandoned, and Le was forced to sell her family’s home to help pay off the debt.
Independent Party MP Citizenship And Family Origin
Dai Le is the first Vietnamese Australian refugee elected to Australia’s House of Representatives. Her family origin is Vietnamese.
Independent MP successfully campaigned as an independent candidate in the Division of Fowler in Western Sydney in the 2022 Australian federal election, a seat held by the Australian Labor Party since its inception in 1984.
According to Mail Online, following her surprising and historic victory against Labor’s Kristina Keneally in Saturday’s election, she is now facing doubts over her eligibility to run.
Ms. Le allegedly said on her nomination form to the Australia Electoral Commission that she had never been a citizen or subject of another country.
The places where a candidate is supposed to fill in how and when they become a citizen of another nation were left blank, and no verification was provided.
In a Facebook post on Wednesday, Ms. Le accused Labor of spreading the news and firmly refuted it.
