She was shot as she left in a car with her boyfriend and brother. She was shot in the back of her head. The cellphone footage shows the officer opening fire on the car as it speeds out from a parking lot, nearly colliding with him.

Mona Rodriguez was with her boyfriend Rafeul Chowdhury when she was shot dead in the car. As explained by him, they were just leaving quietly, but the officer suddenly shot her. He did not even ask them to stop anytime soon, and he claims that the way he shot at them was not right.
The officer shot twice and one of which hit Mona’s head. He claims that there is no way to justify the officer’s actions. He shot at the rear passenger-side window of a car with an unarmed woman. All of the individuals in the car were unarmed, as said by Rafeul.
