Lil Tjay’s suspect from the shoot-out has been identified as a 27-year-old Mohamed Konate. The altercation has been suspected to be an armed robbery against Lil Tjay.
Konate has been arrested under the charges of attempted murder, armed robbery, and several weapon offenses. Mohamed was accused of firing at the rapper multiple times during the shootout.
This shootout happened when Lil Tjay was in the Bronx along with his friends, Antoine Boyd and Jeffrey Valdez. Konate is suspected to be from Edgewater, New Jersey, United States.
Cops have arrested three people in a shootout responsible for the fatal shooting of the American rapper. However, Mohamed was identified as the shooter as per the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office.
Mohamed shot Lil Tjay multiple times and he also shot his friend once. Konate has been charged with three counts of first-degree murder while the other two people responsible for the shootout have been charged with second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon.

During an attempted armed robbery at a mall, Tjay was shot several times. One of Tjay’s buddies, Antoine Boyd, got shot once, while Tjay reportedly suffered many injuries.
Konate allegedly attempted to rob Tjay, Boyd, and Jeffrey Valdez in Edgewater soon after midnight, according to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office & the Edgewater Police Department.
The rapper, whose real name is Tione Merritt, has gone through emergency surgery, according to law enforcement sources, and he seems to be recovering well. However, it was not immediately clear how severe his wounds were or what condition he was in.
Tjay, 21, was scheduled to have emergency surgery as a result of the alleged gunshot, as per TMZ, which claimed “law enforcement sources.” According to the report, the event involved two shootings, one at a nearby Chipotle and the other at a petrol station.
How Is Lil Tjay Condition At The Moment?
Lil Tjay was rushed to the hospital soon after the shootout and had to undergo emergency surgery to treat the gunshot wounds he suffered in the horrific incident.
Prosecutors had earlier stated that while one victim was admitted to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries & is currently in “good” health, they were first reported as being in critical condition when they were carried to the hospital.
However, it was not clear from the subsequent statement who of the two victims, Merritt or the other, had the more severe injuries. After 7 a.m. on Wednesday, Edgewater police & the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office arrived at the mall looking at a red Dodge Durango with a gunshot hole in the driver’s window and a blood-stained towel.
