When the incident took place, Ryan was 23 years old whereas the teenager was just 15 years old. However, according to the Grand Jury, there is not enough evidence to prosecute the case against Ryan.

Mitchell Ryan was arrested for sexually assaulting a minor. The arrest of Ryan came nearly five months after federal prosecutors in Chicago accused one of the stars of “Cheer”, Jeremiah Harris, of forcing an underage boy to make sexually explicit videos and photos of himself. He was later indicted on other charges as well.
Coming back to Mitchell, he was arrested by police in Coppell, Texas, on a charge of sexual assault of a child on July 24. The records are given by Dallas County Sheriff’s Department records.
According to the news sources, Ryan had invited a child artist to his apartment to practice cheer stunts. He then forcibly assaulted her. However, Ryan’s attorney, Jeremy Rosenthal, tried to clear Ryan’s name by sharing lengthy personal, precise, and private details with the authorities.
Later, Ryan was booked and released early the next morning on a $50,000 bond.
Along with Ryan, Robert Joseph Scianna, another cast of “Cheer”, was also arrested for a similar sexual assault charge. Both of them were cast as a group of student cheerleaders at Navarro College.
Furthermore, Joseph was arrested due to the allegations based on child abuse and using a communication device to solicit sex. He allegedly met an underage boy through a social media platform and arranged to meet him for sex.
In a nutshell, Mitchell Ryan and Joseph were arrested in the same week. According to court records and police, both were charged with the sexual assault of a minor. Scianna pleaded guilty but has not been sentenced yet.
