Michele Miscavige is a member of the Sea OrgShe is responsible for leading the international affiliates of the Church of Scientology and is also the wife of David Miscavige, the Church leader. In a series of events that have stunned many, Michelle has disappeared from public view for over a decade and this has become a cause for concern for many.
Religion is the belief in and worship of a superhuman controlling power, a cultural system of set behaviors and practices that relates humanity to the supernatural that Karl Max rightly regards as the opiate of the masses. For 12-year-old Michele, who became the youngest member of the Scientology religion, sticking to the principles and beliefs of the church was very important. But the important thing right now is, where could she be? Is she alive? What does her husband say about her whereabouts? Details are embedded in this interesting article.
Michele Miscavige’s bio
Michele Miscavige aka “Shelly” whose maiden name was Michele Diane. He was born on January 18, 1961 to Maurice Elliot Barnett (who worked as a handyman) and Mary Florence Barnett, both committed members of the Church of Scientology. Michele had an older sister named Clarisse, but her parents divorced when she was very young and she was sent to minister to L. Ron Hubbard, the founder of the Church.
Hence her devotion to the strict observance of the Church’s beliefs rested on the fact that she was one of Hubbard’s personal stewards, whom she greatly revered, and made a name for herself as a person who obeyed every command with precision. Her mother suffered from emotional problems, and the aneurysm mysteriously died of suicide on September 8, 1985. This is despite the fact that her body was found with three bullet wounds on the chest and one on the head, shot with a long rifle. Her death had a profound impact on Michelle’s worldview as she developed a quiet demeanor and left school at age 16 to join the Sea Org in Clearwater, Florida.
Husband – David Miscavige
In her teens, serving L. Ron, Michele Miscavige met and fell in love with David, a member of the Commodore’s Messenger Organization (CMO). When they turned 21 and David turned 22, they got married. At that time, David was the chairman of the Scientology Religious Center, so after Hubbard’s death, David became the leader of the church.
The current leader of the Church of Scientology, David Miscavige, rose to leadership positions as an assistant to the Founder in his youth. The Church of Scientology, whose primary tenet is that humans are immortal alien spiritual beings called thetans trapped in a physical flesh body on planet Earth, has a different hierarchy within its structure.
The supreme authority of the Church of Scientology is the Religious Technology Center (RTC), which claims to be the sole owner of the Scientology and Dianetics trademark and the main executive organization with David as its head. The management of Scientology organizations is largely controlled by members of the Sea Org, a legally nonexistent paramilitary organization intended for the elite and innermost committed core members. David Miscavige, who holds the rank of captain as the most senior member, has gained a reputation for his unpredictable temper and abusive tendencies. Although the Church denies it.
Many defectors have spoken out about his explosive personality in relation to his wife, who is calm and kind, encouraging him to resign in anger. No one has seen him physically abuse Shelly, but there have been reports of verbal abuse.
Where is Michele Miscavige now?
Michele Miscavige had a troubled childhood where she was shunned by her peers, leading to her being withdrawn. She was considered an outsider, which pushed her to devote herself to Hubbard and her husband David.
Shelly’s absence from Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ 2006 wedding, at which David Miscavige (her husband) was the best man, became questionable as it was the wedding of the century, for which she acted as the catalyst. Questions to her husband regarding her whereabouts were answered by her attorney, who said she is not missing but is devoting her time to the work of the Church of Scientology.
Some speculation believes that she may have suffered her husband’s wrath after he filled several job advertisements without his permission. Marc Headley, a former Scientologist who wrote about the church, says Michele is really the only one who is telling the whole truth and solving the mystery. She was sighted at her father’s funeral but carefully guarded by Scientology handlers. The Vanity Fair story for March 2014 reveals that Michele is staying at Twin Peaks, Rim Forest, a 500-acre estate outside of Los Angeles.
