Michael Shane Bargo Wikipedia

Michael Shane Bargo was born in the United States on April 29, 1992. His age was 18 years old at the time of the crime.

He was identified as a 21-year-old white male when arrested for the first time in 2013. He had two other crimes, accusations of Burglary and grand theft, which he committed before the murder in 2010.

Bargo was raised in a “disadvantaged and abusive family,” where he was misdiagnosed and treated for ADHD; Justice Jorge Labarga reviewed his death sentence.

According to the mitigation submitted to the circuit court, Bargo had a hostile relationship with his mother. Bargo was deemed a threat to himself or others due to his parent’s divorce.

The enmity between his mother and father severely influenced his growth. Bargo was bullied and teased during his adolescence since he was smaller than other youngsters his age. Besides, he has a lovely sister named Lauren.

Where Is Michael Bargo Now?

According to the California Department of Corrections website, Michael Bargo, now 29, is a convict at Union Correctional Institution, Florida.

Justices dismissed Michael Shane Bargo’s appeal in a 6-1 ruling after his advocates alleged, among other things, that a circuit court neglected to examine his mental health during the trial.

The trial court found two statutory mitigators as well as many nonstatutory mitigators. Bargo had frontal lobe brain damage, bipolar disorder, schizoaffective disorder, complex partial seizure disorder, hallucinations, diminished control over inhibitions, and his father abandoned him while growing up.

Even though the jury in Bargo’s previous trial largely supported the death penalty, the Florida Supreme Court later ordered a second sentencing hearing because the decision was not unanimous. But later, at a subsequent hearing, Bargo received another unanimous death sentence.

Who Was Seath Jackson?

Seath Jackson was a local teenager from Belleview, Florida, aged 15 at the time of death. His parents characterized him as cheerful, friendly, witty, and “popular with the girls.”

Seath began dating her high schoolmate Amber Wright, also 15. But cracks seem to appear after a particular time in their relationship. Jackson accused Amber of cheating on his Facebook page after finding out she had been dating Michael Bargo, an 18-year-old.

Amber Wright led Seath Jackson to codefendant Charlie Ely’s house on the evening of April 17, 2011, on the instruction of then-eighteen-year-old Bargo, so that Bargo, Kyle Hooper, and Justin Soto could ambush and kill Jackson.

After the initial attack, Bargo intended to keep the victim alive so that he could murder him and the victim would recognize his killer before he passed away.

Bargo beat the victim while still in the restroom, yelled at him, and continued to shoot at him. The victim was finally fatally shot in the face by Bargo. Bargo and Soto then brought the victim’s body in a sleeping bag to Ely’s fire pit and lit the fire.
