Mia Goodwin’s accidental death was caused by a tractor-trailer on 22 December 2021 as noted by WCNC.
The accident happened at I-85 South near W.T. Harris Boulevard. The highway was closed for over 12 hours after the tragic incident which left one officer dead and 3 injured.
Goodwin’s killer is identified as Daniel Morgan. He had a fake license plate and did not move over while the police car was chasing him.
Besides that, Morgan failed to slow down the vehicle and hindered the crash investigation. Thus, he was arrested and charged for involuntary manslaughter amongst others.
