Her abusive relationship lasted for a few years with a lighting engineer. Speaking of the time, she described it as horrific and harrowing. It was sordid and vicious where the actress was often assaulted brutally by her partner in rough ways.
Their intimacy was forced, which even caused a few medical problems for the woman. The man used to treat her like a doll and call her stupid names alongside using uncomfortable toys on her, as Suvari says. But that was not the only time she had faced sexual abuse.
She was only 13 when one of her brother’s friends used to assault her regularly and have sexual relations with the girl. After a series of abuses, the boy even spread the word that Mena was an indecent girl in the school, which spoiled her school life.
Similarly, the American actress also became the victim of another abuse when her business advisor, in his mid-30s, started having forced intimate relations with the lady. She was only 16 years old at that time.
