Mathew Knowles started making serious money after becoming the manger for “Destiny’s Child”. Mathew was producer and sometimes executive producer for all the group’s projects and, when the girls became famous, their manager’s net worth increased significantly. In fact, Mathew Knowles still earns a quarter of all money made by the group, from albums, endorsement, clothing lines, sales and royalties. This is considered the main reason why the group members, Beyoncé Knowles, Michelle Williams, and Kelly Rowland, are not accepting the offer of starting a new tour, because they don’t want to split the possible earnings with their former manager.

Beyoncé fired her father in 2011, after a scandal in which Mathew Knowles was accused of stealing money from his daughter, but this wasn’t the single thing that had negative effects over the producer’s net worth. He must also pay child support for two of his children, after paternity scandals: Mathew had two affairs with Alexsandra Wright and TaQoya Branscomb.

From 1980 until 2011, Mathew was married to Tina Knowles, the owner of “House of Dereon”. The couple had two daughters, Solange and Beyoncé. In 2013, Mathew Knowles married the former model Gena Charmaine Avery.

The media has written several times about his financial problems in the last few years, and it seems Mathew’s company is not going well either. In 2014, the producer had to ask a judge to reduce the amount of money he has to pay as child support, because his net worth has been continuously decreasing.
