Mark Hachem joins the cast of Peace by Chocolate as Nadim in the new comedy-drama film directed by Jonathan Keijser, which is scheduled to be released on May 6.
Peace by Chocolate has been declared as a charming, heartbreakingly sweet comedy film about Syrian Civil War refugees adjusting to life in small-town Canada as they attempt to establish the family business of chocolate making.
We meet the Hahdad family at a low point in their lives. Syria has descended into chaos, and following the bombing of his chocolate factory, patriarch Issam is forced to listen to med school son Tareq, played by Ayham Abou Ammar, and agree that it is time to flee.
The story revolves around Tareq’s struggle to pursue his passion of enrolling in med school, which is guided and encouraged by the first Arab he meets, a surgeon played by Mark Hachem.
