Of Italian descent, Marisa Tomei was born on December 4, 1964, in Brooklyn, New York, where she spent much of her growing up days with Patricia Adelaide Tomei and Gary A. Tomei and her paternal grandparents. She was also raised with a brother who happens to be an actor, Adam Tomei.
