Reportedly, the marine was arrested by the USMC on September 27, 2021. As he was charged with violating the military code of sharing sensitive information.

Marine Lt Col Stuart Scheller is a US marine who served for over 17 years at the US Marine Corps Infantry.

On 26 August Lt Col Stuart Scheller posted a video on his Facebook page where he criticized the US military’s decisions.
As per a spokesperson for the Marine Corps Training and Education, Command confined that Scheller is currently in pre-trial confinement. He added that the time, location, and date of the proceedings have not to be determined yet.
In the meantime, Scheller’s father said that his son was just asking for accountability in an interview. Moreover, his father told Task & Purpose that his son just asked a question that everybody was asking themselves. But they were scared to speak out loud.
