Who Is Marcus King Fiancé Briley Hussey? The Couple Are Celebrating Their One Year Anniversary

King and his wife-to-be Briley first met in July 2021, and the musician knew from the beginning that he wanted to marry her. He even told her that night he was going to marry her. Hussey finally said yes seven months later, and then the couple got engaged. 

According to one of his Instagram captions, Marcus believes that he was broken, and Briley made him whole again after she came into his life. 

He proposed to his girlfriend at the Red Hat Amphitheater in Raleigh, North Carolina.

She first posted about their engagement and proposal on February 27, 2022, with the caption saying, ‘Mrs. King sure has a nice ring to it.’

Both Briley and Marcus posted pictures on July 21 to celebrate one year of being together. They even posted sweet captions recalling how important they are to each other. 

According to People, Marcus and Briley plan to marry next February. While talking about her, the singer describes his wife-to-be as a grounded person. King revealed that Hussey is really warm, funny, and silly. He is thankful that she whipped him into shape.

Hussey’s age is about 31 years, whereas her husband-to-be is 26 years old. Marcus was born on March 11, 1996. The couple has an age gap of around five years.

Briley is from Kinston, North Carolina, whereas Marcus is from Greenville, South Carolina.

She grew up singing the anthem for the Durham Bulls and Kinston Indians and at several college sporting events at East Carolina University and North Carolina State University.

Hussey started taking voice lessons from Max Blizzard after she got inspired to learn the song they sang before the baseball games. She first sang the anthem at the Indians’ game at the age of seven.

Briley posts several cover songs of artists such as Vance Joy and Kacey Musgraves online.

Briley frequently posts on Instagram, where she has more than 14k followers. She often travels with her partner and uploads pictures on social media.

She was asked to sing the National Anthem at a rally in Raleigh’s Dorton Arena in 2015 for then-Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.

Briley initially thought it was a joke when her old college acquaintance called her about the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, reports Kinston. She performed for an audience of over 15000 people.

Briley’s father, Brian Hussey, and mother, Johni, were very proud of her performance. Her grandparents, uncles, aunts, and the entire family were supportive of the opportunity.

Briley’s net worth might be around $1 million. Her partner, Marcus King’s worth is around $3 million, given his successful career as a musician.

She currently works as a singer and at the Bank of America as a Project Manager. 

Briley graduated from East Carolina University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.). Communications. She was a part of the Sigma Sigma Sigma and East Carolina University CommCrew.

According to LinkedIn, Hussey worked as an intern at Pirate Radio 1250 & 930 in Greenville, North Carolina, from December 2011 to June 2013. She was a technical recruiter at Insight Global from June 2013 to January 2014.

Briley transitioned to Adams Financial in 2014, where she was employed as a communications coordinator. Marcus’s fiance also worked as a project coordinator at Centerline Digital, Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina.

She stayed with LexisNexis for over four years as an Associate Project Manager. She successfully managed customer implementations with completion and transition for support.

Her job included collaborating with internal and external stakeholders and clients to help design and drive the product backlog to meet short- and long-term goals.

Briley was employed with Paymentus in Charlotte, North Carolina, from July 2019 to March 2021. She was the Partner Solutions Manager, coordinating the data flow from client customer information and billing systems. She also assisted in the setup of SSH and SFTP connections and API specifications.

Marcus opened up about his ex-girlfriend and heartbreak in an interview with People. He revealed that after his split from his girlfriend of four years, he was really lost. It happened around the same time as the covid lockdowns of 2020 began. 

King was absolutely lost as he always had a difficult time with abandonment issues. He also has issues that every codependent male might struggle with. He and his girlfriend, Haley’s breakup, was a hard time for the couple.
