Nothing is known about Marc Daly’s early educational background, it’s known he graduated with a major leading to a business-oriented career, as he has worked for prestigious companies such as Credit Suisse First Boston, and was a banker for Citibank, of which he subsequently became Vice-President.
Daly worked for more than a decade in the banking industry, though he then quit to become an entrepreneur n his own right, and found the restaurant SoCo located in Brooklyn, New York.

SoCo Controversy
In 2020, the website BOSSIP reported Marc Daly’s restaurant SoCo had been cited by health authorities for allegedly having poor sanitary conditions. In the article, it was stated that New York’s Health Department had found several worrying situations in the restaurant, including food inappropriately refrigerated and not protected from contaminating factors, as well as finding roaches, mice and vermin in it.
Supposedly SoCo received 28 points of violation of the health code.
However, Marc Daly disputed that the restaurant had such poor conditions, and was functioning perfectly. Through a post on the restaurant’s Instagram account, he stated: ‘We have maintained our A for many years, our staff is amazing. SoCo standards have always been upheld. Please stop spreading fake rumors about a successful black owned business!!!’

Although Marc Daly is a successful man on his own, his relationship with the former Miss USA and reality TV star Kenya Moore, has undeniably put him under the media spotlight, giving him considerable fame.
Daly met Moore through their friend-in-common the chef Roblé Ali, who introduced them at a social gathering in late 2016. The pair became a couple a few weeks after meeting, dating for roughly seven months until their marriage in June 2017.
The news of the wedding came as a surprise to everyone, as neither Moore nor Daly had previously announced their engagement. Despite the secrecy around the union, the couple happily tied the knot on St. Lucia’s beach, surrounded by close friends and family.
In an interview with PEOPLE magazine, Moore expressed her happiness as a newlywed woman: ‘I’m just ecstatic, this man is the love of my life and I’m so happy to begin our lives together as husband and wife’.

Kenya Moore was born on 24 January 1971. also in Detroit; she started her modeling career at 14 years of age in Chicago, working at the Ebony Fashion Fair. When 22 years old she won the title of Miss Michigan, subsequently becoming Miss USA the same year, and was ultimately placed fifth in the Miss Universe competition.
She attracted huge fame in her home country, allowing her to pursue an acting career. Having appeared in several TV shows, she’s mostly remembered for her roles in “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”, “Homeboys in Outer Space” and “Nubian Goddess”.

Baby Brooklyn was born through an emergency cesarean section, as her mother faced pre-eclampsia, which caused Moore severe swelling due to water retention during the last few weeks of pregnancy.
Marc hasn’t offered many words regarding the life-changing event, though it’s known he was present during the birth and was thrilled by it, Kenya telling PEOPLE magazine: ‘He gave me a big hug and a kiss, and then he started to just kind of making jokes. In September 2019 Kenya and Daly publicly announced their separation. The reason for the split wasn’t clearly stated by Moore though: ‘Due to recent and ongoing circumstances I can no longer continue in the marriage.’

However, in March 2020 they caused controversy when they were spotted having an uncomfortable discussion during an event for The Black Man Lab organized by Marc. Kenya later admitted that the couple was still having problems, and confessed her husband was ‘enraged’ with her during the organization’s ball.
Meanwhile Marc Daly posted a statement regarding the issue on his restaurant’s Instagram account: ‘Unfortunately, my genuine attempt at doing something positive was compromised by my personal situation. For that, I sincerely apologize and take sole responsibility.
Although the couple allegedly filed for divorce after the incident, in November 2020 they reunited for their daughter’s second birthday party, and Moore hinted that they were trying to have a second child, although still trying to sort out their relationship.
