Subsequently after a failed attempt to enter the NBA, Marc moved to England and played basketball with Manchester Giants for a year. One of his first roles was in the television movie „Inflammable“ (1995), which launched his future career in both television and film. Marc then played the character of a basketball hero in „Pleasantville“(1998), but his first major role came a year later when he landed the role of Agent Riley Finn in „Buffy the Vampire Slayer“, following which Blucas was named one of the Top Ten Sexiest Men of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel universe in a fan poll.
