Luke Damon Goss Wiki Biography

Luke Damon Goss was born on 29 September 1968, in Lewisham, London, England, and is primarily an actor but also the former drummer of the 1980s band Bros. He is probably best known for appearing in the films “Blade II” and “Hellboy II: The Golden Army”, but all of his efforts have helped put his net worth to where it is today.

How rich is Luke Goss? As of mid-2017, sources inform us of a net worth that is at $16 million, mostly earned through a successful career as an actor. Other projects he has been a part of include “One Night with the King” and “Tekken”, and as he continues his career, it is expected that his wealth will also continue to increase.

Luke Goss Net Worth $16 million

Luke started his career with his brother Matt Goss and their boy band Bros, which was established in the 1980s. They would find a lot of popularity, and had 13 hit singles in the UK. His net worth increased significantly thanks to their success. They eventually broke up in the 1990s, and he then worked with the Band of Thieves. About that time he wrote and published his autobiography entitled “I Owe You Nothing” , which would become a best seller, and add to his wealth.

Afterwards, Goss ventured into acting, appearing in stage musicals such as “What a Feeling” and “Grease”. More opportunities opened up for him, so he turned his attention to acting full time. One of his first notable roles was as in “Blade II” as Jared Nomak, and he went on to appear as The Creature in Hallmark’s “Frankenstein”. In 2004, he then portrayed gangster Charlie Richardson in the crime drama “Charlie”, and in following year he had another villainous role in “The Man” as Joey Kane. All of these opportunities continued to build his net worth.

His next project would be in “One Night with the King” as King Xerxes, then following it up with “Bone Dry”. He was also cast in the thriller “Unearthed”, and subsequently won a CAMIE Award for his work in “One Night with the King”, released at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival.

In 2008, Luke was cast in the “Hellboy” sequel, “Hellboy II: The Golden Army” – filmed in Budapest, Hungary – playing Prince Nuada, then signed to play the role of Steve Fox in the film adaptation of “Tekken”. He then got the role of Frankenstein in “Death Race 2” before getting cast in the television film “Witchville”, in between which he appeared in a commercial for the Cadillac Escalade Hybrid. He was also a part of “The Dead Undead” which won him an Ultimate Badass Award from the PollyGrind Film Festival. A few of his latest projects include “Operator” and “Killing Salazar”, in which he plays DEA Agent Tom Jensen.

For his personal life, it is known that Goss married backing singer Shirley Lewis in 1994, so he has a stepdaughter, and the family resides in Los Angeles, California. They also have a home in London, England.

Quote
1 I’m becoming a geek bit by bit. If you don’t know what you’re talking about with these comic book fans, you’re in trouble. (on how being in Blade and Hellboy II has taught him more about comic books than he ever wanted to know.)
2 I happened to be in L.A. on 9/11, and being here in America when that happened made me realize how much I love this country.
3 I did a Navy SEAL training programme and kung fu which got me in shape. I was down to 5% body fat. There’s a scene in Charlie where I get out of bed and have my underpants on – it’s not that glamorous, they’re the unsexiest Y-fronts you’ve ever seen.
4 I have a home in LA and one in London. To be honest, I spend most of my time in LA. The past 14 months, I’ve only been in the UK for about 15 days and probably about 2 months in LA. There’s not that much filming goes on there so you end up going all over the world and hardly spending any time at home at all.
5 Americans find my accent difficult. When you’re in a diner and you say ‘vinegar’ they’re like ‘what?’ Then you say it with an American accent and they get what you mean. It’s not like you’re in an office supply store though – you’re in a diner, work it out for God’s sake!
6 I buy American music as it’s like the last bastion of music. I sound like an old bastard but that’s how I feel. I listen to people like Sting or George Michael from the UK and Missy Elliot from the US – they’re people that you know care about the music.
7 In the UK now you can have a hit record by selling 20 records. It’s a cliche but it is like the fast food industry. There are so many brilliant artists out there but in the UK they aren’t being signed. I know the Pop Idol thing is big but the turnover is ridiculous. If you have 10 decent artists everybody is making money and the consumer is happy. With Pop Idol the music is shit and they don’t sell a biscuit outside of the UK. What keeps it going is beyond me.

18 His first theatre role was in ‘Plan Nine From Outer Space’ which was adapted from the Ed Wood screenplay.
19 Has a twin brother, singer/songwriter/author, Matt Goss, and a step-brother named Adam.
20 Was in a very successful boy band with twin brother Matt Goss called Bros. After they broke up because the contract their parents signed on their behalf entitled the record company to take a cut from the top, leaving the brothers nothing, he sold everything he had and started Luke Goss And The Band Of Thieves.
