Lionel “Little Train” James was born on May 25, 1962, and died on February 25, 2022. He was an American professional football player who was a running back for the San Diego Chargers in the National Football League (NFL).
James was selected by the Chargers in the fifth round of the 1984 NFL Draft. Undersized at 5 feet 6 inches (1.68 m) and 171 pounds (78 kg), James played college football for the Auburn Tigers, where he shared the backfield with Bo Jackson.
