Leah’s fascination with weather began as a dread. When storms were approaching, she used to hide in a closet. She took Earth Science just before high school.
She learned the fundamentals of meteorology during the course. Leah’s dread quickly turned into a passion, and she decided to pursue a career as a meteorologist.
She formerly served as the senior representative on the OU Student Chapter of the American Meteorological Society and the School of Meteorology Student Affairs Committee.
