Who is Larry Kudlow? What happened to his health, where is he now?

Larry Kudlow, born Lawrence Alan Kudlow is a renowned American economic commentator who was named a member of President Donald Trump’s administration in 2018. This well-known economic leader also serves as the director of the National Economic Council, after being included in the elite White House policies.

Kudlow began his journey to stardom at the New York Federal Reserve as a junior financial analyst. After his time in government, he was hired as a financial analyst with Wall Street-based financial firm Paine Webber and Bear Stearns.

He then joined the administration of former US President Ronald Reagan in 1981 as Associate Director of Economic Affairs and Planning in the Office of Management and Budget. After successfully serving Reagan’s first term in Reagan’s administration, he left and returned to Wall Street and Bear Stearns to become the organization’s chief economist. He held this position from 1987 to 1994, after which he became a business media commentator with National Review, a bi-monthly American conservative editorial magazine that deals with commentary and current affairs.

Larry Kudlow also worked at the American newspaper CNBC from 2001 to 2018 and was known for anchoring several shows during his time at the firm. He made a political comeback in 2018 after being named Gary Cohn’s successor to the National Economic Council.

Who is Larry Kudlow?

He is the son of Irving Howard Kudlow and Ruth Kudlow who named him Lawrence Alan Kudlow after his birth on August 20, 1947. Born into a Jewish family in Englewood, New Jersey, USA, Larry attended private school Elisabeth Morrow School in Englewood, through grade 6 Dwight-Englewood School from the second half of middle school to high school.

Upon graduating from high school, the renowned analyst then went to the University of Rochester, Rochester, New York, to study history. He eventually earned a history degree in 1969. While at Rochester, Larry was a member of the school’s tennis team and an active member of the left-leaning student “Students for a Democratic Society.”

Two years after leaving Rochester, Kudlow enrolled in the prestigious Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at the prestigious Princeton University to continue his studies. He ended up majoring in politics and economics, but eventually left school before completing his master’s degree.

Kudlow previously struggled with harsh substances. In the mid-1990s, his quest for cleanliness led him to participate in a twelve-step program. Shortly after overcoming his addiction to alcohol and cocaine, he converted to Catholicism under the tutelage of Father C. John McCloskey III and would become a faithful member of the Roman Catholic Church.

Larry has served in a variety of prestigious positions including being a member of the Advisory Board of the Kemp Institute of Pepperdine University’s renowned School of Public Policy, a member of the Advisory Board of Ave Maria Mutual Funds, a member of the University’s Board of Trustees Fordham.

In his entire life, the Englewood-born politician Bigwig has tied the knot three times. His first marriage was to Nancy Ellen Gerstein, an employee of New York magazine. The couple married in 1974 and divorced after a year.

The political analyst found love in the eyes of Susan (Cullman) Sicher, whom he married in 1981. A few years into their marital relationship; Susan and the famous analyst’s love boat hit the rock, causing them to divorce.

Larry’s third wife is Judith “Judy” Pond, a painter born in Montana. The couple married in 1986 and have lived in peace ever since.

What happened to his health?

Since bursting into a mainstream audience as President Trump’s board member, Kudlow has always wowed audiences around the world with his stunning good looks. However, it was reported on June 11, 2018, that the top economic adviser to the President of the United States suffered what the White House called a “very mild” heart attack.

In a statement released by White House Secretary Sarah Sanders, the presidency revealed that Kudlow had already been taken to Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington, DC for treatment, and that the director of the National Economic Council was “doing well.”

Coincidentally, Kudlow’s mild heart attack occurred on the same day that his boss, Donald Trump, was due to speak with North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un in Singapore for the much-anticipated US summit with North Korea.

At this time, it is unknown whether Larry has a history of health issues, although the June 11 attack was the first time his condition received media attention and was widely covered.

Where is he now?

For now, the good news is that Larry Kudlow is in pristine condition after a mild heart attack. Of course, he’s supposed to start from where he left off in the Trump administration once he’s strong enough to stand.

As of this writing, he is still at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, where he is being treated.
