BBC: Who Is Kwajo Tweneboa?
Kwajo Tweneboa is a 22 years old student from Europe.
Furthermore, he has become an unlikely champion for social housing tenants, shaming Clarion, Europe’s biggest housing association, into action.
Kwajo is an aspiring artist whose main focus is to change his community first. He is raising his voice for giving tenants a good housing facility that is worth their rent.
Tweneboa took on the country’s biggest social landlord after his dying father was nursed in their vermin-infested flat. Now, he champions all these living in terrible conditions.
Both Kwajo and his father were very similar and had an interest in current affairs and made sacrifices to care for others.
In January 2020, Kwajo’s father became terminally ill with cancer and passed away. During that time, cockroaches, mites, and flies infested their dilapidated housing association flat on the Eastfield estate in Mitcham, South London.
Kwajo shared his flat with his two sisters. He had asked his housing association to make repairs for more than a year but they did not.
