Paislee Shultis’ kidnappers were her non-custodial parents, Kimberly Cooper and Kirk Shultis Jr., at the time.
Who Is Kimberly Cooper?
Kimberly Cooper is a 33 years non-custodial mother of Paislee Shultis.
She has been detained with her husband and his father for further investigation.
Cooper is being held in the Ulster County Jail on an outstanding Family Court warrant.
According to the local ABC network, Shultis and his father, Kirk Shultis Sr., have been freed on their recognizance.
All three have been told to keep their distance from the abducted girl.
They were non-custodial parents to the missing girl Paislee Shultis.
A non-custodial parent does not reside with their children most of the time.
This is most common after a divorce or separation when one parent has primary physical custody rather than the parents sharing joint custody.

Saugerties police had learned that Shultis was being detained in an undisclosed location at home on that street until Valentine’s Day, a day ago.
When detectives and New York State Police knocked on the door Monday night, the owner denied having any information of Shultis’ location.
The owner said he hadn’t seen Paislee since she was reported missing.
Paislee was discovered in a secret constructed chamber beneath a closed stairway.
The search lasted for an hour to the home’s basement, according to authorities.
After removing the step boards, officers discovered Shultis and Cooper hiding in the dark.
Kimberly Cooper Charges Details-Where Is She Now?
Kimberly Cooper is charged with kidnapping.
Moreover, her charges include criminal child endangerment and custodial interference.
Furthermore, Shultis Jr. was charged with felony child endangerment and misdemeanor child endangerment.
Both Shultis men were arrested and freed on their recognizance after being arraigned.
It was unclear whether they had entered a plea.
The kidnapped girl has been instructed to stay away from all three accused.
Since the girl’s disappearance, they and other law enforcement organizations have looked into several leads, including those leading to the Fawn Road Home.
Cooper’s biological father denied any knowledge of the girl’s location, saying he hadn’t seen her in February 2019.
He claims Cooper went to Pennsylvania with his daughter.
