A 23-year-old missing person case has finally been solved in Alberta. Kevin Purdy, who left his home in August 1999 and never returned, has been classified as dead after the Red Deer RCMP found his remains.
The case is one of the longest missing person cases in Canada’s history. Born on October 4, 1967, Kevin was 31 years old when he disappeared on a fateful morning.
According to the database in Doe Network, Kevin was of Slender build and had remnants of a Nova Scotian accent. He Smoked cigarettes and had tattoos of swords “X” with “TATA” above; “67” on the bottom of his left shoulder. He had a small scar on the tip of his chin, and his medical identified him as Bipolar.

Kevin Purdy’s remains are finally found after 23 years. The Red Deer RCMP responded to the report of the human remains found in Red Deer and sent them to the lab for a forensic examination. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner positively identified the remains as Kevin Purdy.
In the 20-plus years since Purdy’s disappearance, multiple searches have been conducted by several organizations and investigators. But no trace of the Alberta man was found anywhere.
