Johnson`s father, Lawrence, died when Kevin was only three years old, and as a result, he was raised by his mother, Georgia, and her parents. He went to the Sacramento High School, where he played both basketball and baseball, but was much better in basketball, averaging 32.5 points per game, and earning the Northern California Player of the Year award.

After matriculating, Kevin enrolled at the University of California, Berkeley on a sports scholarship, to play basketball for the university team. He became one of the best players in his position, and received several awards, including the First-team All-Pac-10 selection in 1986 and 1987. He also played baseball, and was selected in the 23rd round as a shortstop in the 1986 Draft by the Oakland Athletics. However, he decided for basketball instead.

In the 1987 NBA Draft, he was selected as the 7th overall pick by the Cleveland Cavaliers, which marked the start of his professional career, and of his net worth.

However, his playing time was limited, as he saw action in only 53 games, of which 3 were starts, as the main point guard was Mark Price, who averaged 16.0 points per game, and 6.0 assists. In February 1988, he was traded to the Phoenix Suns, alongside Mark West and Tyron Corbin with the addition of a future draft pick to the Phoenix Suns, for Larry Nance, Mike Sanders, and a future draft pick. His numbers improved immediately, and he averaged 12.6 points and 8.7 assists per game. In the next season, his numbers became higher, averaging a double double, 20.4 points and 12.7 assists. In the next three seasons, Kevin averaged a double double, which earned him a new contract, increasing further his net worth.

He played for the Suns until 1998, and alongside Charles Barkley became one of the best players of the franchise; although the two never won the title, they played in the finals in 1992-1993 season, but lost to Chicago Bulls and their star player and Hall of Famer Michael Jordan 4:2 in the final series. He retired in 1998, but decided to come back for the 1999-2000 playoffs to replace the injured Jason Kidd. Although they passed the first round, the Suns lost in the second to Los Angeles Lakers, and their star in the making Kobe Bryant.
After these playoffs, Kevin retired for good.

During his career, Kevin received several prestigious awards and set several records as well; he was selected three times for the All-Star Game in 1990, 1991 and 1994, and in 1989 he was named the Most Improved Player. Furthermore, he is the third in assists with a 10.0 average, behind John Stockton and Magic Johnson, and was inducted into the Suns Ring of Honor in 2001, among many other achievements.
As early as 2008, Kevin was elected as Mayor of Sacramento, becoming the first African-American in the post, and in 2012 he was re-elected, which also increased his net worth.

Regarding his personal life, Kevin has been married to Michelle Rhee since 2011, however there are no further details about their marriage.
Kevin is also recognized as philanthropist; he started the St. Hope foundation, which focuses on education. Also he has launched several more projects, including STAND UP, Sacramento Steps Forward, Sacramento READS! and others, all of them focusing on improving education for underprivileged children and adults as well.

Gwyneth Paltrow’s net worth, biography, fact, career, awards and life story

Gwyneth Paltrow Net Worth: Gwyneth Paltrow is an American actress, singer, lifestyle writer, and businesswoman who has a net worth of $150 million. Her fortune comes partly from a successful acting career dating back to the early 1990s and partly from a successful lifestyle business empire, Goop. Early life: Gwyneth Kate Paltrow was born on September 27, 1972, in Los Angeles, California. Her parents are the late TV director/producer Bruce Paltrow and Tony Award-winning actress Blythe Danner. She has a brother, Jacob Paltrow, who is three years younger. The family moved from Los Angeles to New York City when Gwyneth was 11 but later returned to California. Her father was Jewish and her mother is from a Christian background, so Paltrow was raised celebrating both Jewish and Christian holidays. Because her parents were heavily involved in the entertainment industry, it was only natural that Gwyneth went down the path of a performer as well. Her first role was in the 1989 television movie “High,” which was directed by her father. She often acted on stage in Massachusetts, where her mother performed in summer stock theatre for many years. Early Career: Paltrow’s big-screen debut was in the 1991 film “Shout.” She was then cast as a young Wendy Darling in 1991’s “Hook,” which was directed by her godfather, Steven Spielberg. Paltrow distinguished herself from the pack of rising young female stars in the 1990s, garnering a loyal following and multiple awards and positive reviews. Rising Popularity: The first time Paltrow earned critical praise was for her amazingly mature performance in “Se7en” (1995) as a young detective’s wife. Blessed with fair, patrician looks, acute intelligence, and the ability to portray complex emotions, Paltrow easily paved her way in British period dramas like “Emma” (1996). She has kept audiences entertained with occasional comedies like “Shallow Hal” (2001) and richly drawn portraits of complex women like the eccentric Margot Tenenbaum in Wes Anderson’s “The Royal Tenenbaums” (2001). 1998 was an important point in Paltrow’s career as she starred in five high-profile movies that were released that year: “A Perfect Murder,” “Hush,” “Great Expectations,” “Sliding Doors” and “Shakespeare in Love.” It was her role as Viola de Lesseps, William Shakespeare’s fictional muse, in “Shakespeare in Love” that can really be considered her breakout performance. She shone as Shakespeare’s love interest and the movie received almost universal acclaim. The movie would go on to win the Best Picture Academy Award in 1999, and Paltrow herself won a Best Actress Oscar along with a Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild award. Her paycheck for the award-winning movie was $750,000. In 2003, Paltrow starred in “View From the Top,” in which she portrayed a woman who realizes her goal of becoming a flight attendant. The movie grossed only $19.5 million worldwide, significantly below its $30 million budget. It was panned by just about everyone, including Paltrow herself who later called it “the worst movie ever.” It may not have been successful, but “View From the Top” earned Gwyneth a cool $10 million. “Iron Man” Franchise: One of Paltrow’s most notable roles is that of Pepper Potts in “Iron Man.” The 2008 movie was a box-office success, earning more than $585 million worldwide and receiving overall positive reviews. It was Paltrow’s most successful movie to date. She then reprised the role in two “Iron Man” sequels, three “Avengers” movies, and “Spider-Man: Homecoming.” Musical Career: Paltrow is not just a talented actress, but a skilled singer as well. She showed off her vocal talents in the 2000 movie “Duets,” which was directed by her father. In 2010, she again put her musical skills on display in the movie “Country Strong,” in which she played a washed-up country singer. Paltrow has released several singles, including “Country Strong” which was featured in the movie. Personal Life: Gwyneth Paltrow has been romantically linked to some of the biggest names in Hollywood. She dated Brad Pitt from 1994 to 1997; the couple was engaged for a time but called off the wedding. Paltrow and Ben Affleck dated on and off for three years, from 1997 to 2000. She began dating Coldplay frontman Chris Martin in 2002; they married in 2003 and had two children, Apple and Moses. Gwyneth has spoken publicly about her struggle with postpartum depression following the birth of her second child. Paltrow and Martin separated amicably in 2014 in what they referred to as “conscious uncoupling,” a phrase which then became something of a media sensation in itself. Gwyneth filed for divorce in 2015 which was finalized in 2016. Gwyneth began dating TV writer/producer Brad Falchuk in 2014. They married in a private ceremony in the Hamptons in 2018. Goop: Although Gwyneth rose to notoriety as a performer, her real legacy seems to be her lifestyle brand, Goop. The company began in 2008 as a lifestyle newsletter that Paltrow sent from her home, offering recipes, product recommendations, and tips. Its readership grew quickly and the business branched out into a website, a print magazine, a podcast, and pop-up shops. Paltrow and Goop are sometimes criticized for showcasing expensive products. As of this writing, Goop employs more than 200 people. In March 2019 Goop raised $50 million in Series C funding at a valuation of $250 million. Typically after a Series C funding round a founder like Paltrow’s stake is reduced to around 30%. Assuming that’s the case here, Gwyneth’s paper stake is worth $75 million before taxes. Other Ventures and Interests: Paltrow has a diverse set of business and personal interests besides acting and Goop. She is also a spokesperson for Estee Lauder fragrances and Bean Pole International, a Korean fashion brand. She has narrated several audiobooks in Bill Martin’s “Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?” series, the first of which earned her a Grammy nomination for Best Spoken-Word Album for Children. Gwyneth has written several cookbooks, one of which inspired the culinary fad of avocado toast. She also appeared in the 2008 PBS documentary “Spain…On the Road Again,” which explored the food and culture of Spain. Summary: Academy Award-winning actress and singer Gwyneth Paltrow has a net worth of $150 million. She began acting in 1990 and is most widely recognized for her roles in “Shakespeare in Love,” “Emma,” “The Royal Tenenbaums,” and the “Iron Man” franchise. Her movies have grossed a combined $8.8 billion worldwide. Outside of acting, she is the founder of lifestyle company Goop
