| Quote | |
|---|---|
| 1 | If the Brown and Goldman families wanted to hit O.J. (Simpson) where he lived, instead of suing for $33 million, they might have ordered him to take that money and produce NO PLACE TO HIDE PART 2. That *really* would have been going for his jugular. |
| 2 | I don’t like to be known for the OJ trial and now I’m overcoming it. But it’s been six years, and I’ve had a SAG card over 17 years. People should realize that I shot a Coke commercial back in 1986. So, you know, I’ve been around a long time. I carry my Screen Actors Guild Card. – Interview, 2001 |
| Fact | |
|---|---|
| 1 | Has his own clothing line called “Slacker”. |
| 2 | In a November 2015 interview by Barbara Walters on American Scandals (2015), Kato stated that he believed O.J. Simpson really was guilty of the double homicide for which he was acquitted. |
| 3 | Shot pilot episode for TV series called “House Guest” in which he stays in other people’s houses. In real life, as of May 2002, he does have his own LA townhouse. |
| 4 | Was “best friends” with actor/comedian Norm Macdonald from mid 2000 to mid 2001 according to Macdonald’s The Norm Show co-star Artie Lange. Kato Kaelin was even given a guest role on the show. The two had a falling out which ended their friendship. |
| 5 | Has started a lecture tour titled “The 16th Minute”, discussing what happened after his 15 minutes of fame. (1998) |
| 6 | Received most of his popularity during the O.J. Simpson Murder trial. |
| 7 | Testified at the O.J. Simpson Murder trial. |
| 8 | Was living on the estate of O.J. Simpson when Simpson’s ex-wife was murdered. |
| 9 | Oct 1999 – Settled a $15 million libel lawsuit over a headline in the National Examiner that read “Cops Think Kato Did It.” Although the paper says “it” meant perjury, the court didn’t agree and awarded in the honor of Kaelin. |
