Katherine Ann Moss is a British supermodel and businesswoman. Arriving at the end of the “supermodel era”, Moss rose to fame in the early 1990s as part of the heroin chic fashion trend. Her collaborations with Calvin Klein brought her to fashion icon status.
James William Hince is an English guitarist, singer, and songwriter, best known as the guitarist for the indie rock duo The Kills. He started his musical career in the bands Fiji, Scarfo, and Blyth Power. He co-founded The Kills with American singer Alison Mosshart in 2000. In The Kills, Hince is known as “Hotel”.
Although the pair generate intense chemistry on stage, they both insist the relationship has always been platonic. Today, Mosshart tells me that those earliest days of working with Hince were “the happiest of my life”. She has the date of their first gig – 14 February 2002 – tattooed onto her left wrist.
Hince and Mosshart bought a house together in Dalston in 2004. Now Hince has moved on, she lives in Islington and is currently single.
