Officials are investigating if there are additional victims after a high school teacher of Palm Beach County made her first court appearance on charges connected to a “romantic relationship” with a 14-year-old pupil.
That girl’s phone had “sexually explicit stuff,” so she went to the Boynton Beach Police Department with her mother on Tuesday.

Boynton Beach police set up a sting operation and ordered Sottilare to meet her in the 3400 block of High Ridge Road, acting as the teen. At that place, officers made contact with Sottilare and brought her into jail.
Sottilare is accused of committing a crime against a student by an authority person, going to meet a youngster, and driving with a suspended license, among other things.

Sottilare was charged with assault on a pupil by an authorized person, traveling to meet a juvenile, and driving while his license was suspended.
Investigators are afraid that there may be more victims, according to a spokesman for the Boynton Beach Police Department.
Sottilare said detectives she had a “romantic connection” with the victim, knowing she was 14 years old, located her online and admitted to messaging with her and driving to pick her up, according to police.
Sottilare’s bond was set at $40,000 by Judge Jeffrey Gillen. He also ordered her to have no contact with anybody under the age of 18, no access to the internet or social media, and no driving unless she has a valid driver’s license.
