The Insider interviewed 16 former employees of the ‘Judge Judy’ show as well as thousand pages of court records that give clear evidence of Sheindlin’s long-standing executive producer and director, Randy Douthit’s unacceptable actions.

He was repeatedly accused of misbehavior with female staff, offering preferential treatment to the employee he found attractive and passing sexual comments to employees.

The former employees accused Douthit and his deputies — the supervising producer Victoria Jenest and the co-executive producer Amy Freisleben of fostering an unregulated work environment.

Many of those accusations were made in public lawsuits by the ex-employees from early 2000 to 2008. The victim also claimed that Sheindlin was aware of all the happenings but did not care much about it.

She let Douthit, Jenest, and Freisleben continue with their job and produce the show for Amazon.

However, when she confronted him and declined his advances, he retaliated by criticizing her work and eventually firing her in 2006. There are no reports of whether EEOC reached any conclusion regarding the case.
