On Tuesday, 8th March 2022, Juan Francisco Ibarra shot 22 years old Zobeyda multiple times till she lost her life. Ibarra could not take the decision Zobeyda took just to remain friends.

Juan Francisco Ibarra-Tapia was a young man who got involved in the murder of Zobeyda Esquerra. Though he tried to get away with the crime, eventually Turlock polices were able to arrest him.
Upon receiving the call from the shooting scene, the official with the emergency team reached there. Zobeyda was transported to the hospital where later she was pronounced dead.
She was shot multiple times and died due to the shot wounds. Ibarra started stalking her when she refused to develop their relationship further despite only being friends.
The victim’s sister Cinthy Venegas confirmed that he was stalking Zobeyda for months and was also arrested in October. As pare Cinthy, Ibarra was bailed out on the same day.
According to Turlock police, Ibarra also shot two other employees of O’Reilly Auto Parts, but they were not injured. Zobeyda went there to pick her boyfriend from her work.

Juan Francisco Ibarra got arrested on Tuesday by Turlock Police Department. The officers got a call on Tuesday around 9 p.m, regarding a shooting in the area of Geer Road and Wayside Drive.
The suspected driver fled thought an officer patrolling the area tried to stop a light-colored vehicle that was reportedly involved in the shooting. The driver later crashed his vehicle into a fence on North Quincy Road near Arbor Way.
As per the report, he then left the car and ran away from the scene. The resident upon receiving the emergency notification by the officials called 911 claiming to see the suspect in the area.

As per the Merced-Sun Star article, when their reporter Wednesday afternoon, Ibarra-Tapia’s father said he didn’t want to talk right then. There is not much personal information about Ibarra.
