The accusations against both individuals were dismissed after the brief session, in which the Magpies’ player appeared via video connection wearing a black face mask and suit.
His counsel, Dermot Dann QC, described it as a “good ending,” with the prosecution agreeing to pay De Goey $15,000 in legal fees and Mr Edginton $6300.
Both men will have until November 9 to pay their fees to Victoria Police.
The AFL integrity unit and Victoria Police investigated De Goey in 2018 over the allegation, but charges were not filed until July 2020.
The AFL and Collingwood did not suspend him, and he continued to play and train for the club despite the accusation.
The Magpies player said he had cooperated throughout the investigations and following the legal procedure in a statement published on his behalf by Collingwood on Monday.
The 25-year-old issued a statement claiming he was “extremely glad the case has now come to a close” after the prosecution withdrew the only allegation of indecent assault from the Melbourne Magistrates Court.
