Gordon was charged with 45 counts of child sexual offenses, including sexual communications with a child, provoking a child to commit sexual acts, and indecent images of children.
On February 24, he admitted the charges at Chelmsford Crown Court. On April 13, he was sentenced to a total of eight years in prison at the same court.
The scandal was discovered after he thought he had sexual communications with someone, a 13-year-old child.
Officers discovered over 1,200 indecent images and videos of child abuse on five of them.
Anglo European School Teacher Arrested For Sexual Assault
Jon Gordon was arrested for possessing child-abusing images and videos. He was the teacher of Anglo European School teacher from Essex.
“Jon Gordon is a dangerous sexual predator who sought out and preyed upon underage boys and girls for sexual gratification,” POLIT Detective Sergeant Samantha Lewin said.
Gordon had a massive collection of child abuse photos and videos, and the sheer number of charges he admitted to demonstrates the scope of his wrongdoing.
Lewin added, “I’m sure Essex is a safer place now that he’s in jail.”
It is illegal for an adult to intentionally communicate with a child under the age of 16 for a sexual purpose, according to Section 15a of the Sexual Offences Act (2003).
