After Lisa Curry shared that the coach had sexually abused Shane as a child and how he suffered from the trauma all his life, netizens were asking where he was. And now, suddenly the news of his death has been released.
Who Is John Wright Swimming Coach?
John Wright is the alleged swimming coach who had sexually assaulted Shane Lewis and few other swimmers while he was coaching them. Besides Shane, he had abused National junior backstroke champion, Colin Marshall.
He said that John started coaching him in 1983. He described him as a charming man with a short temper. He mentioned that he was sometimes like a big brother and a mentor whereas sometimes he would be aggressive and used to verbally abuse anyone in the squad.
The athlete claimed that he started abusing him when he was 12 years old. He also claimed that he was forced to leave the club after suffering violent abuse from Wright.
The ABC wrote about the story of other few victims with whom John showed misconduct. There is not much personal information about him except for his crimes.
